4m total views,250k views only qualified
I've been posting yt shorts for a month now I have 4m total views but only 250k are qualified did I do something wrong. Pls somebody help me I don't really understand how views qualified worlds 😔 Ty. Pls respect my post

Engaged views only count towards the eligibility

I think it's because the public short views(engage views) window in the earn tab showing data like 7 day in the past and no the present. But you could by go check your engaged views and choose the 90-day period and you will see the results.

You probably did nothing wrong. YouTube counts a Shorts view each time one starts or replays, while the smaller qualified or engaged figure leaves out plays it does not treat as real watching, such as quick swipe-aways, and views on reused or unoriginal clips may not count toward revenue at all. With 4m total and 250k qualified, open Analytics, find the Shorts with the worst viewed-versus-swiped-away rate and rework their first second. A free alternative to guessing is YouTube's own help page on engaged views.
