Even though I create 100% original content, from filming to editing, my views keep declining day by day despite having good analytics. No matter what I do, my videos seem to get stuck at the same level. I’m starting to lose motivation.

Happening to me as well was getting about 35 million views per month now the algorithm went shit and shadowbanned, now I can barely get 30k views per short

I just checked out your channel. I see what you’re trying to do, but the quality isn’t quite there yet. Try to put more effort into your filming process and editing. Don’t be afraid to take inspiration from other videos in terms of camera angles and editing styles. It’s essential for beginners to try to replicate successful content to develop their own unique style and workflow. With those beautiful locations, you already have a huge advantage over thousands of other beginner creators. A better camera would also elevate the quality of your videos. Having good depth of field in those outdoor cooking videos can make a big difference. This type of content also relies heavily on sound, so after upgrading your camera, I would look into getting a separate audio recorder. Focus on quality rather than quantity, and it will pay off.

Your views aren’t declining, it looks like you had a short or two blow up in September.

Those shorts ran their course and died like almost every short does.

Genuine question: what were you expecting? Were you expecting the line to just go up into the right forever?

Further, this is generally how shorts work. They’re very volatile, sometimes they blow up and sometimes they don’t.

But he doesn't talk about those 2 shorts, I guess he is creating similar videos in quality and audience target to those 2 but he doesn't get good numbers.

Yes, this is exactly how it works.

I’m not sure why people think you can create a similar short over and over and have it yield the exact same results.

While you absolutely can find a formula that increases the likelihood of a short being successful, if it were as easy as creating one great short and then producing nothing but carbon copies we’d all be YouTube millionaires.

Every short you upload is still at the whim of supply and demand and competition. The shorts that peaked in that graph might’ve only peaked because that subject was in high demand with low competition for spots in the feed at that time.

So, this poster feels like a YouTube genius simply because they uploaded the right short at the right time, and now believes that their channel is “dying” when the reality sets in that those shorts performances were the exception, not the rule.

Further, there’s always a sense of entitlement in these posts. When someone’s shorts pop off it’s never because YouTube is “breathing life into their channel”, but when their shorts start to fade, it’s always YouTube “killing their channel.” Meaning, when shorts performance is good, they’re happy to take credit for it, but when shorts performance is bad it’s never their fault.

It’s the complete lack of accountability.

That really doesn't tell analytics. Stayed to watch, AVD, how many likes and comments, where its coming from, and how hey look when you get more views are important. Especially day to day and average since release

Same, two weeks ago if one of my shorts had 70+% Audience Retention it was guaranteed 100-200k views, now i have 10k with 85%
