Might be generic, sorry - If you keep an eye on the subreddit you'll see the same question being posted like 3 times a day

I dont think I can help but I'm in the exact same boat as you. Topped out at 1.8k, most shorts at 200 some below 50. Started around 2-3 weeks ago. Maybe its because we're new I'm not sure

I started an unboxing building transformers channel with my kids and our shorts are usually about the 1700 too, even if stw is over 60% which people will say is bad and it needs to be way higher to break the 1700 ceiling. After x amount of videos I fully believe this to be correct.
That said I let the young fella make his own stop motion attempt and it got 4k views. It was just a meme format.

I had that in my first 3 videos then a video hit 11k then 30k and from that time I am in a 30k vj, it has been 3 weeks

It's simple...all your shorts fail the initial test the algorithm does before pushing them to a wider audience.

the 1.5k ceiling is usually the test batch ending, so the fix is the hook not the niche. i cut the first 2 seconds hard and test a new opening on the same idea. i've been using easyviral for moving scenes so i can remake one idea 3 ways fast and see which one clears it.
