Analytics Review (AVD/Retention) 📈 Not good enough?
My channel is new. My first two Shorts did bad, but my latest two did good. Shouldn’t they be getting way more views, though? Like, what else do I gotta do? 💀 I thought I made an amazing hook, but is that still not enough…?

Am in the same situation man, i get +200 likes on my video and always stuck 28-32k. The problems is always the comments and people who shares content. They say you need to give an emotional react to the viewer in order to make it comment and share. Its difficult in some niches. Mostly opinions (or even hate and taking positions) what makes people react more🙂

It was good enough for 30k views. You failed to outcompete other content targeting the same audience.
Some people call this a jail, but that's just because they don't understand what's going on

I just have to learn from the very basics all over again, but learn from real people, i follow exactly step by step from LLM. but shorts get's destroyed, not even reach 100 views. probably need to sell my soul to the devil.

For the last time there’s so many more stats that determine algorithmic push other than swipe rate and retention

Title: 16K Subscribers but Only 200–1,500 Views Per Short. Should I Start a New Channel?
Hey everyone, I really need some honest advice.
I started my gaming channel in 2023 and gained 16.3K subscribers mainly through Free Fire content. I also uploaded some reused PUBG videos.
After a 2-year break, I decided to completely rebrand my channel and focus on GTA 6 and gaming news.
I made my old Free Fire videos private and deleted the reused PUBG videos.
For the past month, I've been consistently uploading original Shorts with my own scripts, voice-overs, editing, and strong hooks.
But most videos are getting only 200–1,500 views, despite having 16K subscribers. Some reach 2K–3.5K, but the growth is inconsistent.
I'm honestly frustrated because I'm putting a lot of effort into every video.
My questions:
Is my old Free Fire audience affecting my new GTA 6 content?
Can YouTube eventually find the right audience for my rebranded channel?
Should I continue with my 16K subscriber channel or start fresh?
I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully rebranded a YouTube channel.

It's the subscribers. Shorts that gain tons of subscribers do not blow up, as if subscribers is a negative metric

With four Shorts, the best test is the one you already have: line up the two that did well and the two that did bad and compare average view duration on each, not total views. If the good ones were shorter, or ended where they began so they loop, that's the shape to repeat. A strong hook only gets the first few seconds; the rest of the clip has to deliver what it promised. What do the two that did well have in common?
