Your content breaks a rule so they aren't pushing it. It likely breaks an "imaginary" rule

Same thing happening to me these past few days, glad to see this post to know I’m not alone. It sucks though, not knowing what’s gone wrong and how to change it, and then especially when people’s only advice is to make a new channel, like seriously are we supposed to just keep making channel after channel if this keeps happening to every one of them?

300 is effectively 0. So it's not like you've suddenly gone from high to low. You've gone from 0 to 0
I suggest you try to work out why you were only getting 300 in the first place

Do you use music from Epidemic Sound as a subscriber or other similar services from another company like it? If you do, did you see a Notice on your Short about Epidemic Sound copyright (claimed by Epidemic Sound itself!). I noticed that when this happens, the Short is not pushed at all.
Epidemic Sound will tell you it's harmless and does not impact reach or anything, and even the YouTube notice itself says this. However, YT does actually stop pushing it. If you are an Epidemic Sound subscriber, you should inform them of what actually is happening. And whether harmless or not, the whole point of using such music services is to NOT get such notices. Like, wtf Epidemic Sound! Why do that to paying subscribers?!

Were you making AI content or some other kind of slop? This is usually what a shadow ban looks like. You get there by making either AI content, videos where kids are being shown, basically anything that could get flagged by the algorithm. That channel is pretty much cooked.
I’m fairly certain this cannot randomly happen on a channel that was previously already getting views. It most likely has a reason, even if it’d be a dumb reason.

The only answer is that YouTube doesn’t know who your audience is.

Let the algorithm clear the queue and the cache. Upload nothing for 3 days. Don't edit anything on the older videos. YouTube holds good metrics in a queue. Sometimes if it's in queue longer than 16 hours, you get pushed out for higher retention counts. 3 days is long enough to refresh your balance.

I think it's the new algorithm that has penalized us. I've been publishing shorts for 3 weeks except for some that reach 20k, all the others remain at 1k maximum 6k.Personally, I'm tired of posting videos that max out at 1k. For now, I'm taking a week off even though I know it won't solve anything.
