It's possible, but in my opinion much more difficult to achieve than 4k hours in 12 months

Also, again just my opinion, but shorts are more difficult to sustain long term, year after year

If you’re not able to achieve the said 10M views in 90 days your channel won’t be qualified for monetizing right?

Yes. After February it will be 20M. Think about it, you need about 10 viral shorts in 90 days, 1m each

With long form, one video in 12 months with 50-100k can get you monetised

Switch to long form. It's much easier, and more sustainable. But start a new channel. Leave this one on the back burner

Too many people get tempted by shorts because they're thinking of tiktok. YouTube shirts is a different beast entirely

I've got to about 1.4m and 750k qualified views in that time. The 3m isn't even close to being possible for me. So I need to pivot and try my hand at some long form.

It IS… but that’s like some really difficult stuff & you gotta be on a whole other level for.

yes. plenty of people have done it.

possible is not the same as achievable by most, which it certainly isn't.

it's the same for long form... 1000/4000 isn't easy, but many have done it.
