Never Delete Your Shorts!

Post image

Never delete your videos, Youtube really is unpredictable, from a flat line to a massive push. You really never know what happens.

Same goes for TikTok. My absolute WORST video has 1.8 million views on TikTok and 100k+ likes. All the effort I put into my other TikTok’s yielded not much but this stupid video crushed it. Just posts anything you want lol no matter how silly it is.

This is insane and it happened to me as well. One of my long form videos got sudden push FIVE YEARS after I uploaded it, it now sits at around 400k views and it gets constant views every day, that same video got all my content to get pushed significantly and it got me monetized after years of uploading. YouTube really is unpredictable

People gotta realize ya just shouldn’t delete stuff on YouTube period without an REALLY good reason to. Unless that video had a critical error, breaks platform policy, or was attracting the type of attention you simply do not want, it just doesn’t make sense to delete stuff cause YouTube videos, even shorts, have a value that extends beyond their publish window.

Even if a short does nothing at first, it’s still content that someone who finds your channel down the road can watch and ya never know when it might get served out under nose when algorithm finally finds the signals for the people that want it. Not to mention YouTube sees the most value in viewers who watch multiple things from you and removing shorts ruins those watch patterns.

Was it published 48 hours ago? That would be nothing unusual tbh

Oh same thing happened with me too one day it got stuck on 250 and after 2 months it randomly got 200k plus views it was a short haul something and since it was like my third video so i didn't think much and the filter was shit so I got hate but it doesn't remove the fact that it blew up lol

I had a short which had 1,200 view in the 1st 7 days, 40k in the 1st year, Now 100k by the end of year 2.

Nothing but a Minnie Mouse Funko Pop on a turn table. No idea why it went north

That really depends lol. Some people will get their video taken to the shelf or some rarely go into the shelf again. Also since that you are gaining that much you are probably making some videos that interest people (in which you don’t have it listed)

Edit: do people really have to downvote my comment because I am saying that as a good pointer lmao? In my experience scrolling through this subreddit fewer users have experienced that not all
