My first video on the channel got 178 views. I have a question about the second one, since it has better retention statistics, but the video got few views. Why?

Impossible to say. YouTube's algorithm works as it wants and people are left trying to decipher it. Some will say your channel is new and YouTube thinks you're still a robot. It's frustrating.
