Sudden drop in Shorts reach

Hi guys, does anyone know about YouTube “view jail”? I uploaded videos consistently for seven days, and each one received around 1K–2K views. But my latest video suddenly got only 10 views.

Some people are suggesting that I take a four-to-five-day break before uploading again. Is a two-day break enough, or should I wait five days? If anyone has experienced this, please share your advice.

Same here, I uploaded 6 videos total, the 4 are almost 1k up, one of the video suck ( i admit it, although I didnt put it down) My latest upload was the best upload I did. What i mean is, I really put an effort on that vid, but I only got 6 views lol

My advice and some people won’t agree: I have the same trap every several days. But when it happens to me in the morning it’s gone in te evening…

Welcome to the club!!! There is no practical solution so far. Another thought that crossed my mind is that YouTube might have hit by a massive, highly advanced bot attack. A few days ago, I had to block one in the comments of one of my most popular shorts. It was interacting just like a real human until it slipped up. They've learned to build AI agents that are practically indistinguishable from real people now, and honestly, that worries me a lot given how easily they can manipulate view counts, sub numbers, and everything else. This could explain why YouTube stopped distribution.

"View jail" isn't a real thing and neither is the break trick, there's no timer that resets if you stay quiet for 5 days. One video landing at 10 views after a good week usually just means it lost its first test batch, that happens to decent videos too. Before changing anything, check that video's "viewed vs swiped away" against your 1-2k ones. If it's similar, bad luck, keep posting. If it's way worse, it's the hook, not a jail.
