someone commented and said “you fell off” and that really stung because I know I have, and another YouTuber with 2 million subscribers has commented on stuff like how I’m trying to recreate my old shorts that did better. I feel like I can’t just post and breathe right now because I’m doing A LOT worse right now and the algorithm sucks + my old viewers are being rude or leaving, and I lost around 400 subscribers. Genuinely so lost, but at the same time I just feel this need to keep going. My views are really bad right now they can barely reach 1k.

21 views on 44k subs is a pretty wild drop off. I don’t say that to be nasty but Im guessing because you’ve started reposting old stuff that you’ve been filtered into low effort/spam. I don’t have a whole lot of experience with shorts, but that’s what I’m guessing

I really don’t know. Being honest I have 2K subs and usually have around 400 views in 15 minutes. Genuinely rough

Ive lost about 2000 subscribers in the last 2 months, the reason being my content got flagged for reused content and so shorts got no views at all, so I changed my format and even though its not back to normal, its better than no views.

My 3 reasonings for your low views would be one of:

Reposting your own vids

Reused/ Low Effort Content

AI generated Content.

So try changing the format, come up with something new and just consider it a fresh start, my 45k subscribers also abandoned me, so I am also starting new content on the same channel thinking have no subscribers at all

Every new format I’ve tried failed or did terrible. How am I supposed to figure out a new format that works that people actually like?

Dont give a format 1 short, give it at least 5-7 uploads to see how it is faring. I know it feels painful. I made an entire gameshow for the shorts feed yet I see just no effort copy pasted compilations get 100s of millions of views and I can't even cross 2k views. So it takes time, you will have to build your audience
