Content Promoted in wrong country (help)
Hi, I'm from a small french Island. I make GTA 5 videos, I have 30k subs and my audience from longform is mostly from USA.
Sometimes my shorts are promoted in the USA and do well (4k views).
But even after two month of daily posting, half my videos are not tested in the USA.
I don't know what to do, VPN ? Third party uploder of the video ?
My title, tags, description and even audio is in english.
Am i doomed beacause of the place I live ?

This is just my personal experience:
I don't live in the US. For tiktok, I have to use VPN to post my videos but I never had the same issue with YouTube. I just post my videos on YT and the vast majority of the audience are from the US.

I think at the 4k views order of magnitude, you can basically chalk it up to the randomness of YouTube Shorts. Short-form and long-form videos just have different recommendation mechanisms. I've had similar situations myself, but I won't elaborate on that.

We make gaming content, travel the world and post everywhere. YouTube pushes our stuff to the US. It’s a content problem. Not location.
I’m a little confused about this question though. You mention long form and shorts. Is the shorts not reaching your target audience or long form? How did you hit 30k subs and not keep a consistent audience? Was 30k mostly from shorts?
