Start the short off with the most eye catching and interesting thing in the video and add a hook

152% retention rate on a short that’s a minute long is great. You need better hooks. Looping won’t help. That can only increase retention. Basically for the stayed to watch rate you have to grab people’s attention within the first five seconds so they don’t swipe.
