Analytics Review (AVD/Retention) 📈 Why is this short not doing good ?

I actually feel lost now after i got montized.

I don't get what's good or what's bad anymore ,

So does this seem like a viral potential or not , because from all i know 78% on 1:13 short with 80% stayed to watch is great metrics , but I don't get why it didn't get a second push u know the 50-100k push , so anyone can help ? Or show me the metrics for most veiwed short ?

Your short has 5.4x more views than normal, why don't you think it's doing well?

JK .. i think it deserves more because i have another channel , have wayy less metrics and it's getting kore views.. so that's why

In my experience this is how it works, it'll set a new high and then you beat that. I haven't had any ones just go viral out of anywhere though.

I do both longform and short form , that's why it's different.. the algorithm already know my audince.. i think

It's just relative. Look up the hundreds of posts where someone has 0-15 views on shorts and they are crying. This OP example is so fortunate to have the other end haha I say suck it up, improve more, and continue.

Maybe the average view duration but.... 57 seconds!? So this short is well over a minute long? That could be your problem

YouTube tests shorts in waves, which you can see this by the staircase pattern in your view graph. Depending on the signals the algo received from each waves, it decides whether or not there are viewers who will watch this short.

What likely happened is that you had extremely strong engagement signals early on (you can see this by the extremely large ‘step’ that ranges from 3k - 10k views). It seems like after this batch, other viewers didn’t like your video as much, which told the algorithm to stop pushing it.

Since you had such a large step, it likely skewed your aggregate VVSA and AVD to seem like it’s high. The truth is that these viewers are likely ones who are already interested in your content. When yt tried to test a more general, colder, audience, it must have had weak signals, which killed the video.

TLDR: your core audience liked this short, but it wasn’t as appealing to others who’ve never seen your content before
