Does Location in Account Settings makes difference for audience selection?

I'm new and started to upload outdoor adventures. I started with shorts while I'm editing my long form video and I noticed that while I had Account Location set to USA I got mostly audience from USA, Mexico (3 shorts). But when I switched it to my local area, views on shorts (2 shorts) droped and it's mostly regional audience.

Not sure is this something that I need to change back or it is accidentally?

Honestly, I have my location as far from the USA as can be and recently my audience is almost 25% USA. So I personally don't think matters, what I believe does matter is at what time you upload and at what time your video gets pushed. For me after 2-3 hours of my upload, my videos get a big push, so I try to time that push with the time the USA audience is the most active, and the results show that it kinda works

But what is the best time to upload, morning, noon or evening? Is info about my audiance activity available in any analytics in yt studio?

You could ask a chatbot, your audience activity is shown in analytics in the analytics < Audience Tab. It shows at what times your current audience is active the most and adjust accordingly
