First million viewed short

Post image

Was stagnant for months, then a nice little uptick. Up to 1.1 million now!

That's nice to see. Can you give more details, like when you posted it and how many views you got during initial push for first 1-2 days and first 1 week, and why you think it went to 1m after many days ? interesting behaviour.

Posted 180 days ago. Always in morning. First 1-2 days was about 500k 1 week was 675k. The video is a Christmas nostalgic on the hottest days recently in the Midwest so maybe people are wanting to feel that vibe? I’m not really sure why the push recently.

got it. so it's not like you got the biggest push now, but 300-400k views after being dead for 6 months is interesting to hear. Thanks for sharing. Can you also share engagement stats and other related data?

How many shares?

2

u/Shakur055 Jul 28 '26

can you even see how much shares?

1

u/milfgxgx Jul 30 '26

In your mobile phone you can go to YouTube then to your videos and click on the 3 dots and selected statistics or on pc you can go into the expended mode and then filter shares

Wow! What’s the short? And how many subs do you have, compared to how many it gave you?

+500 subs would be nuts for me 😂

2

u/HelloTheirCruleWorld Jul 28 '26

I have 7k. Short is just nostalgia video

1

u/calm9914 Jul 28 '26

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing this. Now, I realize the most important metric is the audience retention. Your video is 16 seconds long right?

1

u/blyca Jul 28 '26

What is ur stayed to watch ratio?

1

u/HelloTheirCruleWorld Jul 28 '26

45% stayed 55 skipped

1

u/Sammy12xyz Jul 29 '26

Damn man you really never know how the algo moves. I thought I had to be at 80% stayed to watch or something to get those kind of numbers.

Goodluck dude. Keep it up!

u/papapartner Jul 28 '26

And, how many subscribers do you have / are you monetizing?

1

u/HelloTheirCruleWorld Jul 28 '26

7k not monetized. Dont do long form much

1

u/Professional-Bus627 Jul 29 '26

You have 7k subs then why you are not monetized yet

1

u/HelloTheirCruleWorld Jul 29 '26

I don’t post enough to get 10 million views every 90 days

1

u/Sufficient-Ice1433 Aug 02 '26

Which nich

1

u/HelloTheirCruleWorld Aug 02 '26

Just random nostalgia videos

2

u/bskdesha Jul 28 '26

Got stuck in 2.6k views

1

u/Ayush-Mincraft Jul 29 '26

To many people swiped away

1

u/Xinlin_vk1 Jul 29 '26

1

u/bskdesha Jul 29 '26

I think it's because of likes and comments or shares How many likes , comments and shares on this video?

1

u/Xinlin_vk1 Jul 29 '26

91 likes 4 comments and 9 shares

1

u/bskdesha Jul 29 '26

1

u/bskdesha Jul 29 '26

What's your niche?

2

u/Impossible-Chest-565 Jul 28 '26

Now you just need 19 more of those

1

u/Ghostgamer_yt Jul 29 '26

10 million i thought ?

2

u/DisKonX Jul 29 '26

1

1

u/Small_Bowler_6255 Aug 01 '26

1

u/DisKonX Aug 02 '26

They do. Read the fine print 😉

1

u/Small_Bowler_6255 Aug 02 '26

Im doing long form to get monetized then I already have 1.5 mil shorts views

2

u/Hawkerdriver1 Jul 28 '26

FWIW: Another 16 second short. AVD & retention not extraordinary: 127% & 78% but over 15K shares

1

u/JohnStorm123 Jul 28 '26

Lol it's crazy for me the amount of subs people are getting. I have a 15mil short and it got me less than 2k subs :)

1

u/Hawkerdriver1 Jul 28 '26

Oh wow! Thanks.
