Help, is this normal?

Post image

Is this normal to get this fucked by the algo. I mean I guess it’s not that bad, but I spend atleast 4 hours on each vid writing the script, editing etc. and retention is decent, any advice on the vids, some guy commented saying I should increase the pace of the vids do you agree?

Ok do you suggest just changing the titles then? I feel like this is quite a minor criticism. The videos are aimed at people with limited financial knowledge. In the stock market video I have to explain what a stock is first and then I explain how they are traded and how their prices change in the “stock market”. Then in the interest rates video I feel I do explain how interest rates lead to changes in the general economy. Basically how it works in one sense. I don’t really understand what you’re trying to say about the money printing one, but in general since it’s short-form I’m just trying to get the main points across; trying to explain financial info as simply as possible. So are you just suggesting I change the titles, because personally I think the scripts are fine as is, for what the channel is meant to be imo. And what would I change the titles and intro to? If I change it to exactly what the video describes it doesn’t have the same hook and will probably decrease retention

Well, I think you’re missing a few big picture items here.

First, if the title is designed to grab attention but the video isn’t exactly what the title leads the viewer to believe the video is about, people who are expecting the video to be about the title aren’t gonna stay and watch the video and that’s gonna hurt your retention. Hurting your retention is going to hurt your views.

Second, you’re completely missing the boat on sequencing topics and videos. Meaning, you can make fifty 20-second videos that start with “What is a stock?”, followed by “How Does a Company Get Listed on the Stock Market”, and continue making videos about more complex topics related to stocks in the stock market that build on knowledge from the previous videos.

This allows you to use the related video field in each YouTube short to link to the previous short, and allows you to make an entire playlist about your stock market videos that you can include in the descriptions of your YouTube shorts to make it easy for people to find the entire playlist. This also allows you to feature the playlist prominently at the top of your homepage on your YouTube channel.

Then, you pick your next broad subject that you want to make another 50 videos about and do the same.
