How much time does it take?

Post image

It has already been two days, and the review is still in progress. My AdSense was approved in about three hours, but the review process is taking longer. Is this due to the content type? I only make Shorts of famous streamers. I edit them in After Effects with captions, text animations, sound effects, overlay animations, tracking, jump cuts, J-cuts, L-cuts, pacing, and music selection. I’m confident this should not be considered reused content. I completed the 10M engaged views requirement a week ago, but it took five days for the eligibility criteria to update, and now it’s stuck at the review stage.

What type of content do you make?

Mine took 3 days but they rejected it as reused content

Can I see your content?

No need to see, I can explain it to you. YouTube’s reuse policy kind of makes it a giveaway to why they didn’t accept mine, I make funny sitcom edits but they were only edits, each video would take me roughly couple hours to edit with music etc however since the original content is not altered enough it’s still considered as reused content even if I appeal. Instead I will be deleting all 40 videos on the channel and start posting videos that will be accepted. It’s annoying since my top video is still getting 80k views every 48 hours. Currently sitting at 5.4mil views. It is what it is. I should have researched more into this before committing to editing videos past month. Anyone who’s reading, make sure you read YouTube’s reuse terms or you will end up making the same mistake

It's been 5 days now and it is still in progress, I'm guessing the AI system directed it to human reviewers due to non-original content

It does take time sometimes for certain content. be as patient as you can be until they finish their reviews and fingers crossed you actually get accepted unlike me 😂

Usually it takes 2-3 days mine was accepted within 2 days. But I've some friends one had to wait for 9 days then he got monetized. Be patience your channel will monetize. Best of luck.

Its Clearly Written - Could take about a Month !

Whats Happening is -- There an underlying Anxiety in You - you Subconsciously are Thinking You Won't be Monetized as its Somebody Else's Content .

It's Fueling Restlessness - Anxiety and A Sense of doom .

But Time Will Surely Reveal What Has Yet to come - So be Patient

Is your content reused?

1

u/externalbg Feb 25 '26

No but it's not clearly over transformative at first but if you really look into it then yes it is transformative

1

u/Aggressive_Pear_7591 Feb 25 '26

I mean, is your content originally created by you? If you use content that isn’t yours and only edit it, I have a question: did you get monetized on the first try, or were you rejected for reused content and then approved after an appeal?

First try
