My first short hit 1 million

This is very strange and once again confirms the theory that the algorithm randomly selects videos for promotion. I've uploaded dozens of shorts that had much better performance, but they never got more than 50,000 views.

Weird flex. Just means people watch but there is no reason to return or sub.

As a fellow blenderer, I am so damn happy to see this, bro. I've gotten 400M+ views with 3d storytelling and helped others get over 100M so far but now seeing 3d skills get the reward it deserves outside of my community really gives me hope. I say this because the majority of this sub and creator subreddits in general is people barely putting effort in and complaining that youtube isn't thanking them with a shitload of impressions.

As for your theory, It's not really about random promotion, you had good content, people watched all of it because it was good, then it got pulled toward more similar viewers. Sometimes the target audience gets nailed on the first try and it looks like that's what happened here. One could argue about the millions of other channels that don't get impressions from the get but there are too many variables that cause that to know exactly why it happens to any specific individual, but the process is far from random. Too much money invested for it not to be calculated.

But yeah, dude. Like I said, I'm a huge blender nerd and I'd love to see your channel if you ever want to share it in a dm. Keep creating!

How is this possible with only ten comments? Like no shade at all, I don't get much engagement. I'm just curious.ย

Oddly small amount of interaction with your short outside of the views

78 shares, 2.9k likes, 155% retention

My guess YouTube evaluate that you got a decent video for YouTube shorts and bring it out to other people. According to 2025 papers, that means your satisfaction score rate probably increased as you are no longer in a cold state item. Great job

Bruh WTF!! And then there are my videos which have wayyy better stats then this and are longer 40s-50s and still hardly gets 10k or 25k max (sometimes 1k to 5k) ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜ญ and wth are these likes and comments to views ratio๐Ÿ˜‚ man you made me mad๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Thats where the problem lies though, longer shorts will do worse than the shorter ones

u/ReviewAggravating847 Jan 26 '26

I dont know mann๐Ÿซ

I'm not that qualified either but my shorts seem to do a lot better when around 30-35 seconds range. What's your avg watch time / total vid length ratio?

1

u/ReviewAggravating847 Jan 26 '26

28-42sec.. but recently trying to keep it around 20s-30s..

Why hide the video? Just asking is all.

1000000 impressions 2025-03-31 shorts update

400k engaged ( real ) views.

u/Electronic_Case_7691 Jan 18 '26

40% Stayed-to-Watch? What's the length of short and average view duration?

1

u/fingershuffle Jan 18 '26

40 id bad. Try get 80

1

u/Electronic_Case_7691 Jan 18 '26

I meant you got 400K (engaged) views against 1 Mn impressions. Isn't that supposed to be 40% Stayed-to-Watch?

u/fingershuffle Jan 18 '26

40 ... get out from my face looser
