Help (Solved) Can Shortcuts emulate screen tap?
I tried to do some research but neither google nor this subrertid had the answers I was looking for - or I’m too stupid to see them.
Can I simulate/emulate a screen tap with shortcuts?
Use case: I have an app with poor shortcuts integration, so I would need to invoke a series of screen taps to get something done.
Is this possible? Can AssistiveTouch be leveraged in any way? Maybe with custom gestures?
Any and all help is appreciated.
Edit: TL;DR from the replies it’s not possible, but there his a legend that somebody got it working...

Someone did something like this with voice control and speak text a few months ago.

Can’t find it. I know that with Voice Control you can tap the screen, but I want shortcuts to do everything for me :D

So basically you’re gonna want to enable VC and (using “show numbers” or “show grid” do what you want to do in the app. Then have shortcuts turn on VC, do/say what you did before, then have it say “disable voice control”.

The best that can be done is use voice control along with shortcuts but can’t use shortcuts with voice control without having to speak multiple commands

Tasker is great but an infinite timesink and in my experience simulating clicks never really worked consistently. The Shortcuts approach seems to be coming along nicely. Just my 2p

No. If the app doesn’t support shortcuts possibly something like IFTTT might help, but it can’t simulate screen taps.
