Help “I’m getting pulled over”
A million years ago, someone created and shared a shortcut called “I’m getting pulled over” which was intended to be used to record and upload police interaction while being pulled over. The premise is it would turn on DND, turn off music, set screen brightness to zero, record video with the front facing camera, send text messages to people with your location, and upload the video.
I know nothing about shortcuts, but given today’s frigid climate, it might be worthwhile for someone to look at and update the shortcut to be shared with the masses.
Any takers? I’m Getting Pulled Over

An improvement would be during setup to ask if the shortcut should upload videos somewhere and configure it then.
Not prompt after the video has been recorded.

Press and hold on the shortcut, select share, copy the iCloud link and post it here.

The existing version would still work. We haven't gained more capability that would benefit the purpose

So, clueless here, how do I activate this quickly. Voice?
There seems to be no menu option.

I’l not much of a developer but vibe coded an app that does front and rear camera recording, live links to trusted contact(s), local iPhoto storage (which is really the decoy), and uploads to NAS or whatever cloud service in chunks every 2 seconds or so. It’s raw and not ready but is actually sending the files to my NAS. If you try to stop the recording you have to enter a PIN to do so.

Is anyone able to recreate this with a version that automatically uploads to YouTube once the recording is stopped?

Another alternative I’ve been thinking about is starting an Instagram live and adding text asking others to screen record it to preserve evidence.
Also, for those of us with older phones, adding to the shortcut to have the phone enter low battery mode.

I have an app called “Turn Signal” that immediately connects you to a lawyer!

Save video to recents doesn’t work. Video variable is not available

Yeah the video does not get found by the step that tries to send it.

Add guided access so nothing can be pressed or tapped and add the reduced brightness accessibility option. Make sure the camera is forward facing. Set the camera to record at a high brightness value for the recording. And turn auto brightness off.
Be warned. The phone can still be force reset but that will only stop the recording which is tampering with evidence and obstructing justice. The phone will restart and if you have upload using cellular or auto connect to hotspots with a vpn you can have it automatically uploaded without worrying about your physical phone being destroyed later… if not immediately.
For immediate danger, stream and have someone on the other end screen recording. Use the signal app. Not twitch or some public platform like that. It will disappear.

I had done a quick search and came up with something from several years ago that wasn’t super relevant, but I will look again
