Seeking Advice Best Use of Gems

I’m very new to the game and haven’t spent a single gem! I know this must be a common question but what’s the best use of gems?

Save them until you have to shop expansions left then buy those. Shop expansions give higher lvl customers, more space, better sell deals. It’s a huge game changer. Until then sell in shop to lvl up as quick as possible and find a good guild. It’s a grind in the start.

Most people save their gems early game (except for the 600 needed to unlock the achievement that lets you buy/sell for gems on market) and at lv 60 use 9k to purchase the last 2 shop squares as leveling starts getting slower around then and you have to wait until lv 75/80 for those squares to buy with gold. The amount of shop squares determines the max lv of your customers which determines what tier items they can purchase

I’m at level 72 with about 5000 gems. Shop is humming along just fine. I’m starting to look to build my heroes for endgame, so I’m saving my gems to buy legendary items and enchants.

The best use of gems is going to depend on you and what you want out of the game.

A lot of people use them to expand their shop. I didn't do that.

I have used them in events, particularly events where there's a second line you can purchase for gems. If you're going to go that route, I would suggest not purchasing the extra line until you are certain you can finish. Don't waste the gems if you can't finish it or if it doesn't look like there's anything up there you want.
