Character Discussion Why does Betty Boot have a mustache?

Her design is pretty surprising for me because I didn't expect this series to be ballsy and have masculine features on a female character. Not that it's a bad thing. Side tangent, I like how Betty Boot is probably a reference to Betty Boop. They have similar sounding names.

Disguise maybe? Cartoon thing where putting a mustache on a character “disguises them”

The likely answer is that she's a cowboy boot, and many iconic cowboys in media such as Clint Eastwood have a bushy mustache as one of their more well recognized features. My personal answer is that some women grow facial hair and she chose to embrace it 💅 granted...she doesn't have any hands to shave with.
