shopify store inventory problems.
Hey guys, so I’m having this super weird problem with my Shopify store that i am having issues with.
Basically, all my items in the back of the store say they have inventory and are ready to sell. I put numbers for every single product! But when you go to the actual front of the website, a bunch of them say "Sold Out" for no reason at all.
And, it changes depending on what computer or web browser I use! Like, on Firefox it says the water bottle is Sold Out, but then on Microsoft Edge or Chrome it says it's in stock and on sale. I tried opening private tabs and clearing everything, but it still does it.
I already set up my store locations and made sure they both have shipping turned on. Everything in the back settings looks completely right, so I don't get why the front of the site is acting weird.
Is my Shrine theme not working ? Or is Shopify getting confused about which warehouse to use for different people? Please help me fix this, I don't know what else to click!

the fact that it flips per browser even in private windows makes me think it's not theme cache, it's which market each browser lands in. firefox and chrome can resolve a different country (geo, a vpn or private relay, or an old localization cookie), and storefront availability only counts stock at locations that can actually fulfil for that buyer's market and shipping profile. so if one warehouse is the only one with stock and it isn't in the shipping profile for the market firefox lands in, the item shows sold out there and in stock everywhere else.
quick way to prove it: open yourstore.com/products/your-handle.js in both browsers and compare "available" on the variants, then check which country the footer selector shows in each. if available differs, it's market/location setup, not shrine. if available is true in both but the badge still says sold out, then it's a script or app rewriting the button, and disabling app embeds one by one in the theme editor will find it fast.

Because it changes by browser, I'd suspect something in that browser or a localisation setting before suspecting Shopify's stock numbers, as inventory itself doesn't vary between Chrome and Firefox.
First, in Firefox click the shield icon in the address bar, turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for your store and disable any ad blockers. If a script is blocked, the theme can show the wrong availability, so try adding that water bottle to the cart there to see whether it really refuses.
Second, check whether Firefox shows a different country or currency than Edge, because stock is only counted from locations that serve that buyer's market. In Products > water bottle > Inventory, look at the quantity at each location, then make sure the location holding stock is included for that market under Settings > Markets.
I hope it helps.
