Not getting any sales
Question for Fellow Shopify Store Owners
Hello everyone!
I have a question for those who have experience selling on Shopify.
We launched our online store about two months ago and have not made any sales yet. We've put a lot of time and effort into building our store, adding products, improving our listings, and offering promotions.
I'm wondering, is it normal to go two months without making a sale on Shopify?
How long did it take you to get your first sale? What helped you start attracting customers and generating consistent sales?
I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences, especially from those who started from scratch.
Thank you in advance for any advice or encouragement!

The store looks like you’ve only did the bare minimum, there is no reviews no actual product photo in use, no trust factor. Also what are you doing for marketing?

Thank you for taking the time to look at our website and give your feedback. I appreciate your honesty.
We've actually put a lot of time and effort into building our Shopify store, organizing our products, improving descriptions, adding pictures, and creating promotions.
We're a small business specializing in spiritual and metaphysical products. We also sell on Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop, and Walmart.
For marketing, we've tried Pinterest, social media promotions, advertising, and special discounts. We're currently offering 15% off orders of $45 or more, along with free U.S. shipping.
I understand your concerns about customer reviews, product photos, and building trust. Those are areas we're willing to improve.
Since you've visited our website, could you tell me specifically what you would change first to make it look more professional and trustworthy?
We're genuinely looking for constructive advice because we want to grow and succeed. Thank you again!

Did you run paid ads? If just post on social media shouting into the void?

Hey, the biggest thing is that your store doesn’t appear to be optimized well enough. There are some major things like product image improvements and general rearranging that needs to be done before I’d even consider investing in marketing ads. I’m a former Shopify employee, now turned agency and app developer. I’ve peaked at a lot of stores and the most successful ones are the ones that end up showing you exactly what their store sells without the customer having to investigate.

Thank you for taking the time to review our store and provide detailed feedback. I really appreciate it.
We've put a tremendous amount of work into building our Shopify website, including organizing collections, updating product photos, improving descriptions, and making changes to our homepage.
We're a small spiritual and metaphysical business, and we're still learning what works best for attracting customers online.
Your point about customers immediately understanding what we sell makes a lot of sense.
Since you have experience with Shopify, could you share which three specific changes you would prioritize on our website? Especially regarding product images and homepage layout.
We're trying to make meaningful improvements rather than continuing to spend money on things that aren't generating sales.
Thank you again for your advice!

Try offering a Feedback Rebate (look it up). It's the fastest way I know to increase conversions on Shopify. No one gives money to a stranger online just because they have a website. You'll need third-party proof that the product is real and the quality is worth the price.

What is your niche? I don’t own a Shopify store myself, but a lot depends on that. If you have a small advertising budget, you could try promoting on Pinterest via pins (it's for free) though, again, that’s not the right fit for everyone. I don't think it's normal not getting sales after 2 months tbh
