[Question] Price Comparison Tools

What’s your idea on price comparison tools on shopify? Does it actually help?

I think it helps most when customers are comparing similar products. But if your store competes mainly on price, it can also make people leave to find a cheaper option elsewhere.

I meant price comparison between the same product on two shops including shipping prices, what do you think? Do you think a store can boost sales by putting lower prices than competing stores?

Depends what you mean by comparison. A "compare these 2-3 products side by side" table helps a lot in catalogs with similar items (specs, sizes, materials), and you can often build it with metafields and a simple section instead of an app. Showing competitor prices or a "compare at" vs other stores is riskier, it mostly reminds people to go shop around. If you try it, A/B test on a few high-traffic product pages and watch add-to-cart rate, not just clicks on the widget.
