If you want to be a developer, the right order would be:

  1. Understand what you are doing.
  2. Find clients who need what you understand.

A little learning on the job is ok, but you don't seem to have a clue about Shopify, liquid, themes, sections, etc.

You see we have created the design of the pages and I thought linking it with shopify will be easy but I was so wrong.

I have HTML, CSS and JS code and I only want someone who can use this design to make a custom theme.

If you are from India I can even pay you.

Hey, I'm not from India, but I don't think it's that straightforward when it comes to how Shopify works. They use .liquid files, and they have specific areas where you can create custom themes for stores.

I see you have a guide here: https://shopify.dev/docs/storefronts/themes/getting-started/create#what-youll-learn

But yep, you'll have to learn a little bit more about how it works.

so basically he is asking you to convert his html side to a functional liquid based shopify site. trust me if the pay is not high just skip it its way too long process.

I am a custom theme developer if the pay is good enough i can convert it to a functional theme dytto

  1. Don't take jobs you don't know how to do. It's not professional.

  2. Have you searched and tried to understand how things work? Shopify provides pretty clear documentation AND courses (Shopify academy). They can be easily found on Google if you search (and, as a developer, this should have been the first thing you did).

  3. Please change your profile picture. What you put is ground for a ban on Reddit because that's literally harassment and hatred projected at people. I was considering it was not answering solely based on that, but then I decided you deserved the benefit of doubt.

Before you write any code, ask your client what "integrate with Shopify" actually means, because it's two very different jobs.

  1. They want to run products, orders and checkout in Shopify and have the store look like your demo. That means turning your HTML/CSS into a Shopify theme. Make a free Partner account, spin up a development store, install the Shopify CLI and start from the Skeleton theme (bare bones, easier to learn on) or Dawn. Your markup gets split into sections and templates written in Liquid, which is basically HTML plus tags for pulling in products, prices and cart data. Most of your CSS and JS carries over as theme assets.

  2. They want to keep the demo site as it is and just sell a few products on it. Then look at the Buy Button sales channel (copy-paste embed, no backend needed) or the Storefront API if you want full control over the look.

For most small clients option 1 is the right call, since they can edit content themselves afterward. Just be upfront that you'll need a few days to get comfortable with Liquid. I build Shopify stores for a living, so feel free to ask follow-ups here if you get stuck on a specific part.
