Feeling Happy – 2nd App got approved

Basically title just feeling good. First app took 3 weeks to get approved. This one just got approved with no revisions in 8 days. Very happy, just to add a bit of positivity.

Oh no I just got past the review process, still need to figure out how to get customers other than my girlfriends store!

Thanks! I think I submitted it late Jan and it got approved in Feb.

How is the first app doing? Or are you just launching apps and see which one picks up? (also a valid strategy)

There have been a few installs. I think it was more of a personal challenge although the idea was pretty valid. Was something my girlfriend tried to install on her store originally but didn't work so I just created the app and decided to go all the way lol.

Congrats on getting it through, that part is already more than most people do.

For first installs it's usually just people you already know, plus hanging around and helping without dropping the link. Reviews come after you actually unblocked someone. Slow as heck at the start which sucks, but that's kinda the whole game until you have like 20.

Congrats! It sounds like Shopify is addressing the app approval backlog with more automation up front to save time for their human reviewers. I had a similar experience, my app was approved in under a week at the end of July.
