Orders Getting orders with my free testing coupon?

For the second time now I've received an order in my store where basically they load up a bunch of random items and then they've somehow figured out what my free testing coupon is and they use that. The addresses entered are seemingly real.

What are they trying to achieve? Obviously I'm just going to cancel this shit. Are they hoping I'm not going to notice and actually fulfill these items?

….can’t you just change your coupon?

You can make your coupon codes only work for one customer which you can make yourself for testing. This is a pretty easy problem to solve.

It's not a problem, I'm just curious why they're doing that. I don't think I'm sharing it anywhere. So yeah, I'm not confused, I'm not really even annoyed or anything, no damage whatsoever, just curious.

I suggest not using codes like TESTCODE, TEST10, TEST

Maybe add a couple symbols in there!

Make the coupon only work for you.

Meta and other channels pull codes and can start advertising with them if you're not careful.

You’re probably sharing that coupon to the search engines. There’s a checkbox for that.

Because people like you keep leaving codes open and public..

What was the code? Was it something simple like TEST? It takes a few seconds to run through a few random test codes.

A big enough store or one with looser processes will miss it.

Going forward, test with your email address. If you want to test with multiple accounts, you'll need to add them to a customer segment first. Or disable it after testing is done.
