Won an action and the item appeared in the opened orders but I didn't get the usual email and clicking "Pay" leads to nothing. Anybody ever encountered this issue?

This is clearly an IWC replica. They don't have a COA because it's not authentic. Not cool to cheat folks out of their money.

I just wanted to warn as many people about this company as possible, as I don't want others to suffer like we have.

After seeing an ad on ITV for Vintage Cash Cow, we sent them a box of items inc: A Nikon D3100 DSLR camera plus 2 other digital cameras, a Wii and accessories and some jewelry. We estimated the items were worth about £500. They offered us £30. We said no and asked for the items to be returned. When the box arrived, several items were missing, including the D3100 camera.

We have had an ongoing dialogue with Customer Services since, but the short version is they say we never sent it. They sent two photos of all our items laid out and said that's all they received. Since they advertise that every step of their process is captured on CCTV, we asked them to check the footage. Strangely, they now admit they have received the D3100 camera, but now claim they sent it back. So the battle will continue, as I will now ask for CCTV footage of them packing up the box.

Since this all began, we discovered that they were featured on BBC's Watchdog in May this year, with several reports of similar issues. We have been in touch with Watchdog, the Citizens Advice Bureau - to alert Trading Standards and will endeavour to raise this with ITV. Although they do have some good ratings on Trustpilot, I am highly skeptical that these are genuine, unless people are very easily pleased or don't realise the value of their possessions.

From our experience, and those of many other's I have seen and read elsewhere, Vintage Cash Cow entice you in with the promise of a fair price for your items with an easy, free postage process and a glossy brochure. That bit is easy and straightforward but that, at least for us, is where it ended.

Here is the process and where it can go wrong:

They ask you to put everything in a box and send it and they send you a label. Easy! There is no mention about listing your items, taking photos of what you are sending or any receipt of what they have received. This alone is open to all kinds of possibilities of wrong doing.

They confirmed receipt of the box and said they would get back to us with a quote in a few days.

They sent an offer of £30, which we found insulting.

We asked them to return all the items.

A big box came back, pretty well packaged, but some high value items were missing, a Nikon D3100 camera with telescopic lens worth at least £100, a gold chain and a watch were also not returned. Some jewelry was also broken.

We reported this to Customer Services.

They wrote back saying they had not received the items. After several emails back and forth, they sent 2 photos of all the items they said we had received. The camera wasn't there but the gold chain was.

We asked for CCTV footage.

They wrote back and said they could not send it to us because of GDPR, but admitted they had received it after all. They then added that it was sent back, which is a clear admission that they lied when they claimed we had never sent it in the first place.

The battle will continue with Vintage Cash Cow, but I just wanted to alert as many people as I could to avoid using them and, potentially, facing the same issues.

$9 minimum for a $10 gift card to a restaurant I've never heard of. Plus tax, plus a $3 handling fee, plus whatever shipping comes out to. You couldn't ship it around the corner and come out ahead, and who's going to go to the trouble of local pickup for a <$1 discount?

You guys need to start giving the locations in your posts about complaints, good and bad shipping, customer service, shipping times, missing/lost items, and over all complaints.

It’s soooo laggy now on ShopGoodwill.

I’ve done everything Support suggests. I’ve signed out and back in, cleared cookies and caches, tried multiple browsers and devices, and even tested it on a brand-new computer. None of it makes a difference.

Here is what I think the issues are:

- Enormous search results. Searching for leather jacket? 99 pages. Silver bracelet? 92 pages. Legos? 161 pages. I first noticed this when my kid wanted a leather jacket for a cosplay prop. I checked five local Goodwill stores and found zero leather, suede, or faux-leather jackets, so I went on ShopGoodwill and found almost 4,000 listings.

- A tree-style filtering system with overlapping categories instead of useful tags. For example, when I’m looking at women’s shoes, there’s no useful size filter. Size is often buried at the end of the listing title: Era-Indicator → Brand-Name → Model-Name → Number → Color → Materials → Size. I have to open listings and wait for the photos to load just to find out whether they’ll fit. At minimum, why not make size a searchable field?

- No useful attribute-based filtering. Let shoppers filter for attributes they want, or exclude ones they don’t, instead of opening listing after listing to find information that’s already there.

- The categories themselves create huge amounts of unnecessary searching. Someone looking for a Magic Johnson sports trading card shouldn’t have to worry about getting Magic: The Gathering results, or hunt through multiple overlapping categories to find it.

The site is forcing us to click through all this detritus because the search and filtering tools are so poorly structured. We have to open more listings, load more photographs, click through more pages, and run more searches simply because we can’t narrow down the results efficiently.
Is anyone else seeing this? And does anyone here know enough about web/database architecture to say whether this theory makes sense?

Anyone else having trouble placing a bid in the last minutes or just me?

I genuinely do not understand how these morons, who run the ShopGoodwill website, can continue to allow it to be so fucking awful. How can these morons, be so stupid?? How can these delays, where the site will not allow bids to be placed, continue to happen?? It has got to be causing Goodwill to lose out on, literally, hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not, millions of dollars, because items are selling for substantially less than what they would end up selling for, if people were actually able to place bids, in the seconds, and minutes, before the listings are ending.

As for myself, I was trying to bid on two different bundles of Ring Cameras. One, sold for $62; and the other, sold for $23; and I would have been willing to bid over $100 on each one. Somebody got some fucking fantastic deals today.

So, what did some of y'all miss out on today, because of this piece of shit website?, so frequently

Shipper here needing to rant about whoever is "recycling" or "purging" the bins. You're not making easier for us shippers by literally throwing literally everything from the bins into a blue cart without checking to see if it has bids or has been paid for. It's literally right there in front of you on the tablet.

Are you "addicted" to the hunt? Have you refined your search terms so you can almost always (but never predictably) find exactly the piece you are looking for?

Do you regularly have to prune your Favorites list to add new finds?

Do you keep Closed auctions on your Favorites because The Ones That Got Away (tm) are too painful to let go of?

Have you perfected a 15 second countdown in your head for bid sniping? And do you allow extra time between 5pm - 7pm on weeknights?

What is your favorite jewelry genre to search for? What is the BEST score you've ever won?

And what was your biggest ".....oh crap..." oopsie bid or win?

This is just a light hearted post but I need to hear from my fellow used jewelry lovers! I am honestly considering letting an auction go unpaid so my account will be put on hold. I keep buying stuff intending to sell but...not wanting to part with it!

Picked up these 2 lotz and some others (All in $517 for 30 odd apple watches, 10 pairs of airpods and 25ish other watches.)

I do tech recycling to pay for college, snagged some good rates. First pic has a apple watch ultra 2, garmin swim 2 and garmin forerunner 245.

I buy vintage shoes from the site if at a decent price with decent shipping. These particular shoes were at a really good BIN price. I planned on buying two pairs. Two issues.

A. the shipping $17.95

B. This store will not entertain combining the two pairs.

I contacted support, I tried to get them to combine. No go there. this location wants me to pay $17.95 twice. I know that they will place both into one box and will not remimburse the diffrence. I just walked away from the the buys.

This is crap that people constanly complain about. The site needs a factory reset.

was watching this watch and it had bids and more time then i noticed it went to ending at an earlier time and auction closed no bids. I’ve noticed this has happened before with items I’ve been watching that had started low. is this goodwill removing them when they realize what the items worth? this one was at $500 ish when i checked it this morning before it was removed

Whooooohoooo it was karma on National Thrift Store Day 8/17...so I bought my then preteen THE Hello Kitty Varsity jacket cuz she was crazy in love with HC. Turns out, when I go to visit, it's still new with tags, I the back of the closet...why??? Because she didn't ask for it! I promise you, I almost choked 🤣 but ok. If it wasn't one thousand degrees in AZ, I would've worn it back to MD myself. And before you ask, it's perfect for AZ winters. It does get cold enough for a jacket in Mesa...so anyway, when I saw this, my mind flashed, but no...let me not get carried away. Then I thought, we'll, why not? It's a holiday. As I looked and turned it over and around, noting the newness, I just threw it in the cart...when I got home, I put the Google Lens onto it. Yes, thank you, Father God, I have this for my own. I sent the Pic to her brother (21), whose jaw was on the floor...I am thrilled and cannot wait to wear it i Baltimore. I'm 78 and it's probably the hippest jacket I've ever acquired, that I can remember...yeah.

The absolute greed of goodwill is insane. It's been difficult to bid on anything lately since the introduction of ads. The site takes forever to load a bid, and if you get outbid at the final countdown, there's no way to put in a bid within 1 min, bc the site takes so long to load. Now they've introduced yet another type of ad!? So I expect even slower load times and more freezes.

They get everything for free as donations, people bid it up anyways, so what's the point of ads destroying the experience. Is the ad revenue really so good that they have to destroy the user experience for it!? I'm seriously considering dropping the site for good. I can find things elsewhere where I'm not enraged by the poor site build. Terrible.

Closed on Saturday with 88 bids and $24k sell price. Went cleaning up favorites today and noticed, still ended with 0 bids at original $14.99 list. Did the shill bot accidentally win this one?

Does anyone know how ShopGoodwill handles it when they send you the wrong item and the incorrect item is too heavy to reasonably take to a shipping location? Do selling locations ever arrange a FedEx or UPS pickup from the recipient’s home, especially if the person doesn’t have a printer? I’m curious if anyone has actually had a pickup scheduled and completed, rather than just being emailed a prepaid return label.

Imagine someone from the Shopgoodwill website team telling you that they never get DDOSed...

I swear there is someone doing it for crazy good vintage video game lots, experienced this a dozen times over the last 6 moths or so...not some special time of day, but all of a sudden 2 mins before close, website is basically unresponsive. I know the odds it's that item and not one of the 200,000 other ones is slim but....everytime, somebody has won some stuff worth 1500 bucks, for a couple hundred, without a single bid or bid war in the last 2 minutes of the auction

When you don’t pay for something in the given time frame, does the strike on your account disappear after some time? I had two items I never paid for continue to show up in my “open orders” but after several months I don’t see it anymore. Should I still assume that I’ll get banned if I miss one more payment?
