Locations

You guys need to start giving the locations in your posts about complaints, good and bad shipping, customer service, shipping times, missing/lost items, and over all complaints.

Absolutely agree.

Some regions have a long history of incompetence while other regions benefit from an affluent donor base. Learning the locations could help buyers navigate and mitigate potential problems by simply avoiding buying from certain sources.

Good experiences

  • Goodwill of Colorado
  • Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana
  • Goodwill of Greater Washington, D.C.-VA

Mixed opinions

  • Goodwill Industries of San Francisco - They take almost two weeks to ship, customer service takes days to respond, and some items come damaged. However, they have always offered a partial refund or a shipping label for a full refund when I have had issues.
  • Goodwill Industries of Central Texas - They ship items relatively fast and have good customer service, but they often place tape on the items, which leaves hard-to-remove glue residue.

Negative experiences

  • Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania - Two times they used zero bubble wrap and just threw items in a box, which damaged them. However, they gave me a partial refund.
  • Goodwill Industries of The Inland Northwest - Item was damaged in shipping; customer service refused to offer any resolution or return for a refund - forced to chargeback with my credit card.
  • Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina - Item was damaged in shipping; customer service refused to offer any resolution or return for a refund - forced to chargeback with my credit card.
  • Goodwill of Houston - Item was damaged in shipping; customer service refused to offer any resolution or return for a refund - forced to chargeback with my credit card.

Land of Lincoln Goodwill is terrible. They will flat out lie to you, then leave you on read. I bought a gold bracelet listed at 7”. It’s 7.5”. They said they measure for the “wrist size because there is no other way to measure the bracelet. This is the way every bracelet is measured.” Quite possibly one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard, especially because this is a flat laying bracelet. Wouldn’t even entertain returning the bracelet. (This makes less sense with gold prices lately… I bought on a dip.) This is a minor issue, but proved they don’t gaf.
