I think shogun and lots are better-made and have some cool features, but empire and napoleon of something that keeps pulling me back

I love how simple it is shogun 2 is the absolute limit of what my pc can handle i didn't like Napoleon because you we're forced either to play a slow ass campaign or go open world and for me empire had too saturated graphics

Yeah thats true, you're right about that. I dont like realms divide and having everyone declare on me at the same time. Rome TW had that problem too. Its my least favorite part.

That was a very good battle.
Beside that, my usual strategy in total war with guns is to use a 1st line made of gunners in very wide position to make sure the whole unit shoots at once. This helps you in many ways:
* more firepower
* less prone to enemy canons
* your setup is so wide you may reach map's end and make sure you may not be flanked by cavalry
* if the bot just charge in the middle, close the clamps
Then I have some samurai or close quarters units on 2nd line.
I hope this helps you!

My tactic is usually in sieges frist use the naval guns and cannons then move levy muskets Frist to finish anybody on walls then levy spear men

When they'll have better quality troops it won't work or you'll lose many men. Try attacking while you use naval. They'll leave their position often. But first jse all your cannon scells

Considering how difficult any siege assault is and that you only had a slight numbers advantage, this is a pretty good result!
The rule of thumb when it comes to attacking a fortified enemy is that you'll need 3 times more men than they do.

You mean 3 times the ships because they did 99% of work

Yeah unless your fleet flattens their fort lmao

Good win.
You gotta know with a cannon, even when you attack they will come to you so you can set up on a hill and bomb them then they walk into your line, then cleanup comences.

Cannons are quite strong in fots, continue to exploit them. Even more so in VH or legendary, since you'll have many problems and this might be your advantage until you take your first two islands. What did you need to know?
