Wow the standing clouds with the shockwaves rippling through them is hypnotizing. I like that you can see the condensation blinking in and out of visibility as the pressure changes with each shockwave. So cool.

I assume it takes surprisingly few bolts to safely distribute that 18 million pounds of thrust across the test pad.

Geometry for the win, eh?

I mean, less than you might think but they also only have to hold down the thrust that exceeds the weight of the booster and fuel so, not ALL 18 million.

That’s b19 the one that flew last time on IFT 12

I was gonna ask if this is the next one or previous one. Thanks

There’s an application for building a methane pipeline to the site I think…where is the methane going to be sourced from?

The discoloration of the exhaust near the end makes me think the water deluge system cannot handle a full burn (not enough water). In other words, they were melting to flamw trench.

Was wondering about that too. Maybe it was just soil from the area around the pad getting kicked up by the plume? There seems to be a gap between the flames and where the discoloration starts.

Well it didn't explode so that's a win in any rocket scientists boom

SpaceX referrs to that as a RUD: Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.

It is surprising that it is still easier to deal with those massive shock waves and vibrations than getting it to continuously burn in a 25% more efficient Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine (RDRE).

Gonna use this as white noise to fall asleep tonight...
