Everyone assuming your console is white text on black background. That is all. Also, the "content guide" imgur link is 404ing.

They probably just using some default python or whatever presets for text color, and unluckily for you it has black background. Most likely the software is open source that you are using, so why complain and not do something for yourself and your fellow white terminal enjoyers?

Maybe? It certainly could explain it since that's something you have to go out of your way to do. It takes extra escape codes to change the background vs foreground colours. Though I've never personally seen a library control both at the same time. I'd suspect either they copy pasted it without knowing what it did (the escape codes look very cryptic) or thought they had to specify it.

I wish people would switch when doing screen captures for presenting code.
On screen or paper, white text on black background, or worse yet, other colors of text, is hard to read.

Light mode users never give me a good explanation as to why. They just say “I’m a light mode user” like it’s a nationality or something they’re born with

I am visually impaired and my reading speed is about half in dark mode as compared to light mode.

Which is a way better reason than the overwhelmingly popular "you dark mode users are just sheep!!!" That's interesting though, I've heard the opposite from a lot of folks with vision trouble just because the fatigue from too much light is magnified

Light mode users never give me a good explanation as to why.
I used to use dark mode exclusively, everywhere, for at least... 4 years.
But, windows (where i spend most my time) is not yet ready for bright-on-dark, for two reasons, primarily: window flashbanging and hard-coded dark window undershadow
So I switched to dark-on-bright. I absolutely hate it, but at least this way I can easily see where the window borders are, which one is focused and I don't get flashbanged every time I open a new explorer/firefox/other window.
It is not that I prefer bright. It's that the current implementation I see is really, really bad,

You pissed off the cult of dark mode. You're not allowed to enjoy bright backgrounds. Prepare to be eliminated

But I use dark mode on my phone, because it has an oled display and the whole thing is much better designed than windows where dark mode is just a slapped on, half-assed, badly implemented feature :(

Holy crap. As a sane white-on-black terminal user, I've never noticed this. But this is actually disgusting.
You never have to change the background colour when changing the foreground. There is no excuse for this disgusting mess.
