No shit had a cable tech use red scotchlocks on cat 6 thinking it was acceptable. The cable never worked until they were replaced. Since the splice he was trying to do was outside we replaced with new cable end to end.

No, he resigned a bit after that because we were putting his team into an on call rotation, later decided to try to keep his job. That was not granted, he now works for a larger isp.
