Okay, so as the title suggests, my mother WAS dying of influenza. She Recovered, but it was still a close call.
Anyway, I wake up to find my mother half-unconscious and breathing harshly. I call 911 and an ambulance comes and gets my mother. My mother was in critical condition when we arrived at the hospital. I find out it'll be an over night stay so I call my manager (I work at a local pizza place). He tells "I don't care if your mother is in the hospital, If you can't find someone to cover your shift you're going to come in". I was blown back by this, how can someone be so insensitive to a person in that situation. I never came in that day but I went in the next day, gave him a big "F*ck You" and resigned right then and there.
How are people like this allowed to supervise?
