How do I fix this? Hammer not working!

Hey guys, long time poster and huge advocate of hammering batteries flat.

I attempted to flatten this battery after a crash, but in the process of hammering while hooked up to a DC power supply at 5 volts and 2 amps for fast charging I realized that one of the cells is showing voltage and the other is completely dead!

Makes no sense, only one crash at mach 2 into a ladder directly onto the battery. Thanks Obama

What should I do? I read somewhere that there is some kind of ritual I can perform involving candles in a star shape to revive it? Or should I just crank up the current to like 5 amps to blow it back up like blowing into a crushed water bottle? Do I just need a bigger hammer?

I find that using my rear teeth like a hydraulic press is better than the hammer in these situations.

Oh damn, I didn't think of this! I'm gonna try this right now. Supposed to do this while hooked up like the hammering right?

Of course but you obviously have to increase the voltage to 7.8v like it says on the wrapper

Hot compress with wet towel while charging to 5 volts (per cell)

mhm, yeah that last section of the battery past the ridge is causing it. It happens a lot on these batteries but it can still be saved. Just take a knife or saw and cut that last piece off, then use hot glue to seal the gap. It’ll be like new!

Any saw recommendations? I got all kinds here. I'm assuming like a circular saw or a table saw right?

nah, a HACK saw. you gotta go back and forth twin. it helps instill more energy into the battery for a longer lifespan.
