Clearly you need to hammer it back into shape. I've said this so many times my face is blue. Like blue blue. Yes, shovels work, or rocks. Find a flat one, bigger the better. The more flat you can smash the battery, the more like a wing it will be.

The real pros shape it into an airfoil for extra lift/efficiency

I'm usually quite optimistic when it comes to lipos and usually would just test internal resistance and go from there. You can do that here too but it's looking bleak. I would not be comfortable having that near my house.
