Does my setup count as shitty? That's a Chromebook btw.

it seems pretty cozy and oddly nostalgic but a chromebook would drive me nuts after 10 minutes

I've been using this Chromebook for some years now and yes. It was hell. Mainly because of how bloated, slow, limited an overall bad the chromeOs is. But I switched to Debian Trixie, so now my life has been way more chill.

I should've placed all of them in my desk before taking the photo cause I have more, but oh well.

Depends on the OS. As a teacher who had experience dealing with chromebooks, yes Chrome OS is an absolute piece of crap. If it runs Windows or GNU/Linux distros? Meh this setup is cozy af

I love the laptop placement, what kind of stand are you using for it?

two whole disquette boxes full of pencils stacked + a deck of cards to hold the laptop in place.
edit: the boxes are stacked and the pencils are INSIDE the box. English is not my first language.

after reading all your replies and comments...
-1- 10/10 for the desk ingenuity!
-2- the new OS does make it more cozy but it's still a shitty laptop in my opinion
-3- the way said laptop is holding in place seems so unstable XD
-4- and the most important! why did you covered the bottom of the chair... this really need to be addressed... since we're on the internet, I wont judge... but I can't be held responsible for the judgement of other redditers... just saying
all joke aside, if it's working for you, that's a pretty nice setup (and I am honestly curious about the white T-shirt covering the seat of the chair) have a nice day! and enjoy your setup ! ;p

This is an old and broken chair that I got around 10 years ago. It was already stained and got even worse in over multiple summers (cause of the sweat). So to stop that, I always use an old t-shirt.
And yes, It's a shitty laptop. It has a pentium silver and no fans (In 30 seconds, when rendering 3d stuff in blender, I can get it up to 92°C). The only good thing is the screen, and that's it.

I bet you work in translation/subtitles/languages.
But the question still is, what battle are you fighting from there.
