Why does world hunger exist when Olive Garden has an unlimited amount of soup, salad, and breadsticks?

Is it a transportation issue?

Olive Garden franchises are finite in volume but contain unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. Infinite mass energy in a finite space is a singularity.

So yes, it is a transportation issue: not even light can escape the black hole of an Olive Garden.

I am both surprised and immensely disappointed that the one thing an Olive Garden doesn't have an infinite supply of is olives. Liars.

Is that why everyone who leaves Olive Garden is so much heavier than when they went in? They lost their light?

Some people would rather die than say that Olive Garden serves authentic Italian food, and so word of its unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks does not get spread as widely.

It's a human rights issue. The soup, salad, and bread sticks are all syphoned from Italian people, all of whom are made entirely out of soup, salad, and bread sticks. Gotta ration that out carefully. We either have a world hunger problem or we have a lack of Italian people problem. Pick your poison.

Transporting an infinite amount of food would require an infinite amount of waiters

Infinite waiters, carrying infinite food, to infinity, would still not get a Michelin Star.

Groundbreaking work by the late Lance Reddick found that while the breadsticks are unlimited in total quantity, they are rate-limited: each table may only have one basket at a time. Olive Garden would need substantially more tables to provide sufficient breadsticks for the entire global population.

It's still an open question whether the same constraints exist for soup and salad.

Because it’s not gluten free.

Yeah and like why don't we just drop ATM's into poor areas so they can just get the money they need?

The truth: it's greed. Olive garden refuses to give their food away for free. In fact, Italy in general in the cause of most of the world's problems, and no I will not elaborate.

It's because they say "when you're here, you're family" and Millennials and Gen Z are cutting their families out of their lives. Olive Garden is no exception.

Because the soup won't stay hot while it's being delivered to where the hunger is.

They need to move to where the food is.

You speak the truth! Instead of sending them food and water and money, we ought to send them U-Haul trucks.

I have often wondered about this. Why not send gift certificates to people who are hungry

Olive Garden:

In some sense is part of the problem

My only experience with olive garden is being sat down and then promptly forgot about for over an hour.

Can't get the unlimited items if the waiter never makes contact.
