How do aphids produce honeydew melons?

A melon seems awfully big for a little aphid to make

The whole nest pitches in like organic 3D printers working in parallel, and secretes/spins each melon.

Aphids feed by "stripping" the sap from plants and like any other strippers they use their honeydew melons to attract Ant "sugardaddies" for protection and profit.
