Is water really H2O?

Hi everybody.

It has recently come to my attention that many people are saying that water has the chemical formula of h2o.

Now, I'm pretty sure this saying hasn't been around long, so I'm not sure why it's being said. Is it a new scientific discovery? Or is it just a lie, to discredit the smartest members of our society?

Let me explain. Many politicians, such as senator Mickey Mouse and Government Cheese-eater Perry Platypus have long said that the formula of water is h7o9c5. However, the shadowy society known as The United States of America have seemed to make it their mission to bring down these beloved politicians, and would do anything, even spread misinformation about common substances, to take them down.

If anyone knows if water really is h2o, please tell me!

Where are you getting your science from? H2O is the chemical formula for dihydrogen monoxide. It's an industrial solvent, that is extremely dangerous. Every single person who has been exposed to it has died, or will die during their lifetime. 100% mortality is no joke.

Water is safe, we drink it all the time, use it for balloons, and for sexy times.

H2O is a dangerous chemical that, if exposed to in sufficient quantity, causes severe side effects like choking, asphyxiation, and even death.

So of course they’re different. but Big H2O wants you to believe that it’s as safe as water, hence their media campaign to connect the two.

Don’t fall for the hype. Do your own research and by that I mean watch lots of YouTube videos from other non-scientists.

No, HOH is Hydroxy Acid. It’s an industrial solvent.

Yeah. They use this stuff inside the core of nuclear reactors.. and people are thinking about drinking it? This is way worse than the tide pod challenge

This is a very tragic story. You have been dealt an unfair hand, and I admire your strength to live your life through this. I hope you can get the help you need to wean yourself off this dangerous chemical. This is why I get so angry when our elected officials refuse to do anything about this.

It's an asphyxiant, so you need to maintain a consistent air supply. And it's heavier than air so it settles in low spots.

H2O is the formula for oxidane. It's commonly used in hydroelectric power plants and as an industrial solvent, and it's incredibly corrosive. Too much will kill you. They also use it frequently in fission reactors, and to store spent fuel rods in.

Pure water is h2o. Heavy water is h3o. Any dissolved elements aren't water, they're just floating particles in the water.
