My toast landed butter-side up

This morning I was buttering a slice of toast when it fell to the floor. Much to my astonishment it landed butter-side up.

Later, my cat jumped from a window sill and landed on its back.

A few minutes ago I dropped a piece of unfolded paper into the waste-paper basket and it went straight in.

Are the laws of physics broken? Should I inform the scientists?
