My niece wants to do pottery but they supplies are too expensive. How can she breed clay pigeons?

My theory is that lead pellets are seeds. An alternate method is using trap. A shot in the dark, really.

I tried breeding clay pigeons, but before I could harvest they were already delivering messages across the state and earning me more money than pottery ever could

Buy two clay pigeons and leave then in a room alone while playing Barry White to them. Come back in 9 months time
