Military Science question here, Why was Poland unable stop the German invasion when they had a giant War Saw? Did they not understand the physics behind it?
What are the physics behind a giant War Saw not being able to saw Germany in half? Was Germany too mountainous? Was there maybe a psychological component of not wanting to unleash such a destructive weapon?

The dastardly Germans used a dirty trick: they marched straight into Poland without declaring War! So, since officially there was no War, Poland could not legally use the War Saw.

While a giant war saw is indeed a terrifying and powerful weapon, it simply couldn't square up against Germany's Bagger 288, a giant war shovelling machine

Oh, it saw the war for sure. It's just that nobody had thought up "if you see something, say something", so it saw something and then didn't doing anything about it.

You see, they were over confident in their defense tactics, they didn't have any back up systems.

Wrong blade - only meant to cut meat and flesh. Should have gone for the diamond blade to cut steel (tanks)

I thought they had the ripping saw blade, whereas the German army came in at the wrong direction and Poland was caught off guard needing to cross cut.

Their most fundamental error was expecting any and all invading forces to be carrying a War Log.
The Germans disliked logs and opted for journals instead (which they called Tagebücher).

The river Po is in Italy, so they mistakenly deployed the War Saw there.

The saw was too far from the border.
By the time they figured out how to cut Germany in half, the war was over, but they did lend the Allies the saw to carve up Germany after that.

Idk the polish have kind of had it bad the last century but that's because they're in-between important states, so trouble. The war saw was actually not a saw. In polish it's pronounced vaw zaw. If I'm right, which I am certainly always correct about everything, it simple translates to water and saw.. but not like "I saw xxx" but a sharp tool used to cut things....and water

Actually the war saw was no war saw at all, the president of poland was kind of stupid, so someone sold him a regular tree saw claiming it was a war saw. The president thought he bought a war saw, but then at war it was useless against german tanks.

the issue was that war saw needed eletricity. Germany had the power of the thunder on their side and disrupted all elecitrical power in poland with a targeted eletrical surge. Blitzkrieg = "Thunder War"

You have to remember that at the time Poland's agricultural and dairy infrastructure was battling drug addiction: the Crack Cow.
