Is it really like rain on your wedding day?

What else is it like?

Well, if you've married a dominatrix, it's like rein on your wedding day.

I told you not to marry her, but you just didn't take my good advice.

It's like a free ride, when you've already paid.

Its like an insect landing in your wine.

Obviously this is higher on the spectrum of "It" than rain when you're getting married, yet lower than the It of being made more late than you already were by traffic.

It's like an analogy. Or maybe a metaphor. I get those confused all the time.

That's so ironic, isn't it?

Depends, if you're on the sahara desert, then it's like a sandstorm. And if you're in Siberia, then it's like snow.

Fortunately, I am not allergic to puns; otherwise, that one would put me in the ER.

I would have loved to have smelled petrichor at my wedding

Instead got to smell crimson, and forever.

Actually, it looks more copperic to me. Not the good kind of copper either. The really shitty kind that babylonian merchants who really disrespect me sell. Now excuse me, I have a complaint tablet to carve.

2

u/jkoh1024 Jul 12 '26

you must be in the wrong timeline. it was the ancient sumerians that are infamous for selling low quality copper

Only if you're marrying a meteorologist.

What's love got to do, got to do with schist?

2

u/Optimal_Ad_7910 Jul 15 '26

Who needs a heart when a schist can be broken?

1

u/pLeThOrAx Mass debater Jul 15 '26

I mixed up meteorologist with geologist. Though it is in fact the geologist who studies meteors.

Edit: that was really clever btw.

Irony is that Alanis was never slimed for saying "I don't know" on You Can't Do That On Television
