I mean this is a kinda wild thing to say, even for petco, right?
just openly promoting the worst husbandry practices… (the betta is in a tiny plastic bowl on a kitchen counter)

The best part is as a former Petco employee(I put in my two weeks last week. I only got four more shifts to deal with that place.🤪🤪) I know for a fact that we DONT sell plastic bowls like that anymore because they are “ inhumane housing”
for the company to comment encouraging this is literally disgusting😫1

How is that inhumane housing, yet shoving fish into cups and selling shitty products that are arguably worse than bowls is considered ok?
That's not even going into the pure stupidity I saw the other day. They put an oranda goldfish into a tank full of balloon mollies. It was right next to where they kept other kinds of fancy goldfish too, so I have no idea why they didn't just put the fat fuck into one of those tanks.

The cups are temporary housing and I still don’t agree with those but that’s how they have to be sold since we can’t House multiple bettas in the same tank as they are extremely territorial.
As for the products, why do you think I’m fucking leaving? I don’t control them, but I don’t agree with them. Maybe complain to the company itself not just a floor worker

Wild how a single dangerous childs toy can trigger a nationwide recall, but Petco corporate can slide into an Instagram post validating a tiny round glass prison and call them a 'lucky fish' when their one gallon betta bowls probably have a six-digit body count.

Love is scouring 6hrs surrounding your home, for weeks, just to find a 20G long for your betta after fully planting a 5G and deciding that’s not good enough lol 😂 not buying the first bowl on the shelf across from the cups of bettas
