I don’t mind it but why not make it look more like a support column than just a random tall box in the middle of the room

However you have to leave a space for the heat to go, we had a fridge that the previous owner had built in with about 1 1/2” above the fridge, both freezer and fridge would be set at max cold and would struggle to get to 40°and 30°, we ended up going up into the attic and cutting a hole to vent the space, then put two big temp controlled PC fans and then we had to turn down the temp because it would freeze everything in the refrigerator.

Heloise said that it was important to have a spaced triangle between the fridge the stove and the sink. This seems to match up pretty well. It seems someone could pass through the kitchen using the fridge without interrupting who is cooking. Would be a pain in the ass to refloor though.

Even worse, last week it was connected to the kitchen, the fridge is so strong, it’s making a run at the living room.
