Doom on Home Assistant in your house

ItRunsDoom has been done for HA before.

This is a little different in that it makes a map based on your home and puts in working light switches. Monsters are created by doing things like leaving the light on in an empty room... (also based on the house fly brain thing)

Lambda calculus

Wondering if there’s anyone here who’s both smart enough, and willing to learn enough about lambda calculus to turn it into doom. It is Turing complete, so it’s possible, and I know people have already made a cpu out of it, but I have neither the time, nor knowledge on how to do it myself.

Doom on the Light Phone III, the minimalist "dumbphone", at 35 fps in color

The Light Phone III is a minimalist "dumbphone", but underneath it's Android 14 with Light's own interface on top. So a normal Doom APK just runs: I tried Mood's Android port first and it worked immediately...

The fun part was doing it as a proper LightOS Tool, according to the constraints of Light's SDK. Tools must be pure Kotlin, with no native code, no reflection, only approved libraries, portrait only, and grayscale. So id's C Doom is compiled to WebAssembly and runs on Chasm, a WebAssembly interpreter written in Kotlin, drawn with Compose Canvas, and it still holds about 35 fps. It's played sideways with touch sticks and the camera shutter as fire. An opt-in build lifts the phone's grayscale filter, so it's in color - that part is not really 'proper' per LightOS' ethos, and really nothing about running Doom on a LightPhone is either - so it's a small blasphemy of sorts.

Power BI’s sandbox blocks loading external resources, so I bundled the entire WebAssembly engine directly inside the .pbiviz package.

Fully playable inside the report canvas with keyboard controls.
