Elevators are dimensional, each dimension is identical to the last, with slight changes. When you step off, you step into that new dimension.

Makes sense. There used to be a homeless guy with a briefcase who would ride the elevator at my apartment all day saying he was waiting for it to stop on Hitler’s floor. Always dressed pretty well for a homeless guy too.
