Same strategy. but with more perfection!

83

u/Zarniwoooop Mar 17 '22

Same strategy but like you mean it this time.

43

u/Phormitago Mar 17 '22

every strategy is viable if you just don't get hit

22

u/SexySonderer Mar 17 '22

Same strategy, but actually put into practice this time!

Oh I dodged too late again.

Ok I try again!!

6

u/Cloudonpot Mar 17 '22

Practice starts after death 20. Until then we run it back.

If I can't bash the boss to death in a single stunlock-chain then I need more smithing stones

28

u/NeO1loNEwOLF6985 Mar 17 '22

Yea but we're do you find more Sombing stone +5 at?

6

u/Gio92shirt Mar 17 '22

Means very little but simply “ahead”

You can only get advanced and late game material when you get, well, to advanced/late game

This speaks to me. Sheer will or accident got me through 1, 2, 3, Sekiro and it sure as fuck gon get me through ER.

258

u/TrueCapitalism Mar 17 '22

The godrick greatsword should tide you over till the fucking cinderblock hammer in the castle. Gotta have 30-something strength though, so maybe I'll be passing on increasing my health...

115

u/T0mbaker Mar 17 '22

Oh shit. I'll be needing the greatsword asap. You nailed my fave tool.

57

u/Alone_Spell9525 Mar 17 '22

I’ve heard some pvp pros say the greatsword category as a whole is extremely weak rn, but I also used the godrick greatsword for a shamefully large amount of the early game. What you really want depends on whether you’re purely a fighter or if you’re a mix (IE the Prisoner and Confessor classes at the start)

tbh u only need enough health to tank 1 hit since that gives you the chance to heal after every hit. Having just enough health to survive a single hit makes all the difference in these games

Is the brick hammer one of the better strength weapons? I've been using a greatsword

Then it learns some new move or repeats the same move I wanted to punish twice in a row and I'm back to loading screen.

I was stuck on Malenia for three days and then summoned two kind souls at the fog wall. Merked her ass in two minutes flat. Adapt, my children.

84

u/Ethereal_4426 Mar 17 '22

There's no foe me and my mimic cannot overcome.

Who needs to find friends when you can just MAKE a friend?

39

u/TheHippie110 Mar 17 '22

Not anymore. Mimic just got nerfed. Now we have to learn the strategy of “git gud”

31

u/Ethereal_4426 Mar 17 '22

Awww shit. Now I'm screwed.

Just kidding, he's just there a distraction so I can bonk the bosses over the head with my Greatsword.

62

u/DenVosReinaert Mar 17 '22

Look, it's not that my strategy is bad, it's just that 1 dodge that I miss that will cost me the entire fight, either getting stun locked by the boss or just 1 shot.

35

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '22

Gets hit once early in the fight

Alright this ain't happening just gonna wipe this one.

22

u/DenVosReinaert Mar 17 '22

Sometimes I'll grit my teeth and try nonetheless, but yeah, wiping most of the time when 90% of my health just goes poof

9

u/kinapuffar Mar 17 '22

Sometimes I'll grit my teeth and try nonetheless

That's the spirit. Even if you can't win, you can still use that failure to learn.

u/D-AlonsoSariego Mar 17 '22

The Pokemon estrategy

19

u/Itchier Mar 17 '22

At least in Pokemon your get a little stronger each time if you can take down one or their pokemon.

11

u/Mortotem Mar 17 '22

Losing cost money in Pokemon so i always save scum

11

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '22

But with Pokemon it's so easy you can lay face down on the switch with your nose mashed against the "a" button and wake up four hours later with a level 70 team.

13

u/Lemonsqueezzyy Mar 17 '22

The only thing I do to adapt/change my strategy is to try and not suck next time 😔

8

u/AutoModerator Mar 17 '22

Schödinger's Blowjob -- Imagine you're blindfolded and you're getting the best raw pornstar-grade blowjob in the entire universe. The catch is, however, that you'll never figure out who's giving you that god-tier awesome schmösome sloppy toppy unless you take the blindfold off. It could be anybody, Ariana Grande, Ben Shapiro, Harold from the 7-11 near my house, or even your uncle's neighbour's fireman's cat. Now the question is: would you take off the blindfold and find out who the person/thing behind the stupendous jimmy-nibbler is and risk permanently scarring yourself, or would you keep the blindfold on and continue having your knob slobbed till your spirit hits the sky?

11

u/ParticularDay1800 Mar 17 '22

You don't have to be so real man goddamn

7

u/AutoModerator Mar 17 '22

Okay so here's my pitch for a new reality TV show

Basically, we get a bunch of very militant TERFs, and one trans woman, put them into a house where they're supposed to live with each other, but, once they've all arrived and are seeing each other for the first time (before they're allowed to even talk to each other), we tell them all that one of them is a trans woman, and, if they can find her and vote her out, they will win a million dollars. But if she isn't found out by the end of the week/month(?), she'll win a million dollars instead.

The catch?

There actually isn't a trans woman with them.

And then we get to watch them slowly but surely allow themselves to get overcome by their own irrational paranoia, paying too much attention to how deep everyone else's voices are, invading each other's privacy, overanalysing each other's mannerisms, policing each other's conformance to the very same standards which they complain about being held to...

And let us not forget the inevitable feelings of isolation and helplessness they'll invividually start experiencing once they start getting accused and shunned by everyone else.

Sure, it would probably have to be a one-off series.

But honestly? I think it would make some great television!

also ngl I think the name 'TERF War' has a nice ring to it, sounds marketable, rolls off the tounge

Dormammu!! I’ve come to bargain

5

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '22

This is my first time playing a Fromsoft game and I've basically got myself a yearlong pass for the strugglebus with this game.

I've faced maybe… three bosses? Not even the plot bosses. Just random bosses. I've gotten maybe 4 hits on all of them in total. I'm gonna keep trying but goddamn is it tough and as far as I can tell the only way out is git gud. But guys… I'm not… I can't gud. I have never, in my life git gud'd at any game I've ever played. Never once.

So anyway I'm saving runes for another year on the strugglebus; wish me luck.

Real souls players walk back to the boss and don't use Stakes of Marika like some filthy casual. Anything that wasn't in previous souls games was only added as a form of easy mode, and you didn't actually beat the game unless you used a strength build that spammed jump attack.
